Janaina Dallan

Janaina Dallan is the co-founder and CEO of Carbonext, a nature-based solutions company that supplies high-quality carbon credits to the market, aiming to preserve forest areas in the Amazon. She founded Carbonext in 2010 and has over 20 years of experience in environmental impact and advancing a low-carbon economy. Janaina holds a bachelor's degree in Forestry Engineering from USP and an MBA in Environmental Economy from the Brazilian Institute for Sustainable Development. With extensive international experience, she is a pioneer in the carbon credit market both in Brazil and globally and is a profound expert on the Amazon rainforest. She is also one of four Brazilians to serve on the UN/UNFCCC in the RIT (Registration and Issuance Team) for Climate Change projects, the president of the Brazil Alliance for Nature-Based Solutions, and a member of IMAGINE, a global leadership community for impact.
