Danilo Mansano
Danilo Mansano is the co-founder of Mara, a startup improving grocery shopping in Brazil. Danilo began his career as an engineer in a civil construction company, where he worked for three years. In 2012, he founded his first company, an e-commerce consultancy, which he led Marketing and Operations until its closure. Realizing he had more to learn before embarking on his next venture, he decided to join top tech companies. In 2016, Danilo became Uber’s Operations Manager during their expansion in Brazil. He then joined 99 as Regional Operations Manager, where he met his co-founder Ariel Lambrecht. They worked together again when Danilo was Operations Director at Yellow. In 2019, Danilo returned to 99, now under DiDi’s management, to launch their delivery service, 99Food. He used this time to learn about the Chinese market and B2C solutions in complex supply chains, which inspired him to apply his learnings in Brazil. Two years later, he left his role as General Director to tackle food supply issues in underserved Brazilian communities. Together with Ariel, they identified last-mile logistics as a major challenge and started Mara. Founded in 2021, Mara aims to make quality products accessible to everyone at wholesale prices, with free next-day delivery at nearby pick-up points.
